Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress best recognized for her roles in the films Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Koun. She began her career in the late 1980s, and rose to popularity with her role in the Tezaab film, in which she appeared alongside veteran actor Anil Kapoor. The next time she appeared on screen was Dil with Aamir. When she was a kid she began studying at a very early age. When she was in her early years as she began to perform as an actress, most films she created did not succeed. Her fame grew and she became one of the top film actresses. Her marriage led to a hiatus in her career. The actress returned in later years. In the last few years, Dixit was a key player as a character in Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggle of Indian women. Dixit was nominated 15 times to win Filmfare Awards. She won 8 of these. Padma Shri - the fourth most prestigious civilian award of India - was given to Dixit. Also, she is well known for her charitable works.
