Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican-born musician born into a family of musicians. Her early years were spent listening to traditional music, boleros from the past along with traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is a lover of tangos, opera, and every form of dramatic performances. The mother of her child taught her to sing, but she began an intensive training in vocals through Flavio Belcerra when she was just 16 years old. his name was known as a famous Mexican opera Tenor. Her musical education continued through the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. While a young student and professional, she performed with numerous chamber ensembles and opera choirs in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. Following her move back to California in United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before returning to her new place in southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer of the traditional Latin American music at private concerts. She is passionate about arts, music and performing has her participating in a myriad of local activities as a performer and teacher. Ana was also a part of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently an instructor in The Performance Loft. Ana is grateful to have the opportunity to share with others her love of traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will inspire younger generations of musicians to keep the music alive.
